I doubt it. People are already in line to pay for the food, meaning they have the money to do so. I find the whole concept rather obnoxious. It's the principle of the thing.
I am fully in favor of legitimate charitable giving. This isn't it.

I agree, it's retarded. It's like a secret Santa party with fast food, where everyone chooses their own meal and another person pays for it. Now that I think of it, it's one of the most pointless and unimaginative "charitable" actions I can think of. If it ever happens to me, I'm breaking the chain and taking the extra food to a homeless person.
