I found this Gem on Facebook "To All Parents: Keep your Children away from Reddit.com"

What they were answering

You sound like a programmer yourself. So are you telling me that everything on Reddit is based on logical examination of a subject and placed on the site for an intellectual debate? There is little (if any) moderation to make Reddit safe for children to look into something that may interest them like Minecraft or World of Warcraft. My use of cesspool (spelled correctly now) is a term used for defining a pool of filth. It's not meant to express hate or label the people who use the site. My observation is that there is a left leaning bias (based on their social and political views expressed by people on the left) then right.

My post on Facebook, (which was intended to be viewed by people who are my friends on the site) was not meant for an Atheist chat room, but rather an observation that I made because most of the people I associate with are parents and are concerned about the same things that you expressed on your comment. That there is a push of a philosophy that goes against our beliefs. So in the end its a WARNING for parents about the content on this site. I don't see what I posted as an incorrect observation. For the past 2 hours I have been fielding nastiness by the people (excluding a few) about the screen shot of my post.

So in the end my point has been proven about the intolerance and anger of this site and the people who use it no matter what chat room a conversa…

You are correct, from your point of view what you posted was a reasonable observation. And I agree that much of Reddit is no place for children, especially from a parent's point of view. My point was more to do with your wording, and the inevitable perpetuation of the stereotypes that fuel the back and forth between the left and right. I do not fault you for wanting to protect your children from some of the idiocy on here, not at all. However, putting your observations forth in a logical and non-confrontational manner will yield you better results, as well as stave of the accusations of fear mongering and partisan rhetoric. You are very correct to call out the inappropriate, rude, and disgusting behavior of some of the members on this site. You are a parent and that is your job. But please try to stick to the real reasons you don't want your children on here. Hopefully that is not due to a perceived left leaning bias that is trying to actively subjugate your parenting and destroy the idea of God. It is most likely because Reddit, like much of the world, has a small yet vocal portion that ruin things for everyone, and you do not necessarily want your children to be exposed to that yet. However, there are many discussions that take place here that would be great for young minds to participate in. /r/science is one of those places. I was merely upset at your wording, because I see it being used by both sides to attack each other. Reddit is a tool, and when used properly, can be a benefit.

And yes, I do some programming. I am mostly doing telecommunications now though.

Replying to RyGuy2012 · That's sadly true. And depending on how low your self worth is, you may think you deserve the pain.

The times I was seconds from ending it, all I felt was absolute nothingness. There was no sadness, no pain, no fear; just nothing. The only thing left that kept me here was the distant respect I had for my girlfriend and

I agree, it's retarded. It's like a secret Santa party with fast food, where everyone chooses their own meal and another person pays for it. Now that I think of it, it's one of the most pointless and unimaginative "chari

I was also upset that they grouped MDMA and Meth together! They both bind to neurotransmitter receptors in far different affinities! In a rant about improperly grouping things together, I would expect consistency!
