Caffeine + L-Theanine sublingual solution recipe?
Replying to FosteredWill · Haha! I thought for some weird reason maybe it was cost-effective, and was distracted from the sarcasm by the Fiji vs. others. Seemed strange to me. The idea for me of vodka was …
Just keep in mind that any molecule that is subject to hydrolysis will degrade in water. Since most of the vodka is water, that means it will break down the molecule. Noopept is one of those molecules.

Ohh, ok. I've done that one. It's super subjective. I was hoping there was a more scientific way to measure it.

Replying to FosteredWill · > San Pellegrino This is a bit old of a post, but man, are you just joking around when you say stay away from Fiji? Also, would it be damaging to most noots to use a weaker vodka…
Haha, I was being sarcastic! We certainly do not use any of those waters in our solutions. Vodka can work for the substances that are soluble in alcohol. Although in ingesting alcohol with your noots is kind of counterproductive.

Scientist claims nicotine is the best cognition enhancer
Replying to silverhydra · What led you to think BBB permeability rather than another possible cause like intestinal absorption rates or differences in the mechanism of action?
The fact that neither sublingual nor oral administration made a difference, and the fact that the supplements in question worked on completely different monoamine systems.
Scientist claims nicotine is the best cognition enhancer
Replying to silverhydra · Since they used patches, I would imagine the C*max* at any single time for nicotine would be too small for cognitive effects.
For the nicotine, probably. However, they also said that none of the other supplements they have tried have worked. I've met a few people like that over the years. Different drugs working on completely different systems had little to no effect. The only thing I could think of was…
Nature's Way supplements: what's the consensus?
I've used Eclectic Institute's rhodiola, with good effect. I am now using Life Extension. It seems to be just as effective so far. I would personally not use Nature's Way if I had the choice.

Nootropics Depot Adrafinil
I made that comment a while back, when there was a lot of reports of fake adrafinil. I have not heard any in a while, so hopefully that means vendors are actually selling legitimate product now. I know we are, and I assume Nootropics Depot is as well.
Are circa 1mg doses of melatonin too wimpy to protect/enhance brain mitochondria?
Replying to machete234 · I allready have vitamin d at 5000 iu, which is a bit much. Its not stimulating at all but maybe it just doesnt feel that way.
It's not really stimulating, so much as it regulates your circadian rhythm and improves mood.

Replying to machete234 · So its probablya good idea to take 1mg every night if you have sleep problems or not? Or is there some kind of downside to have less oxidative stress? Making your immune system la…
It really depends on your body. Hopefully your body is making enough melatonin on its own. However, if it is not, .5mg-1mg is good for daily use. I would say supplement it at the same time every night 30min before you go to bed, then supplement vitamin D when you wake up. This wi…
Are circa 1mg doses of melatonin too wimpy to protect/enhance brain mitochondria?
Replying to shydominantdave · Now that I think about it, it may make the most sense to take it in the morning. Taking it when levels are low and your body is not producing it should cause for less down-regulati…
Well that would make you pretty tired throughout the day. It might be best for antioxidant purposes, but it would mess with your circadian rhythm pretty bad. It would also mess with your vitamin D levels, since melatonin and vitamin D disrupt each others actions. This would lead…

It could work. Tianeptine has been combined with Paxil before with good effect. However, you should speak to your doctor about it.

Replying to shydominantdave · 1. Wouldn't it not be advisable to take a sleep-inducing hormone twice a day? (unless it is like 9PM and 12PM, or you wake up to take it) 2. Not sure if this is talked about, but …
Both of those are valid concerns. The study was attempting to measure antioxidant ability, and did not take into account changes in circadian rhythm or down-regulation. This is why they are attempting to create melatonin analogs that have the same or better antioxidant abilities,…

Are circa 1mg doses of melatonin too wimpy to protect/enhance brain mitochondria?
Replying to ABabyAteMyDingo · I don't know anything about MDA, can you explain this? Thanks.
Malondialdehyde is a marker for oxidative stress. If you have higher levels of MDA (I hate their use of this acronym, as it conflicts with methylendioxyamphetamine), then it is a marker that your body is dealing with higher amounts of oxidative stress. Lowering the level of malon…

Replying to timevast · My understanding is that Tryptophan is a precursor to Melatonin and a better strategy. I'm sorrry but I can't post links right now. Maybe someone else will address this.
There are too many rate-limiting enzymes in between tryptophan and melatonin for that kind of supplementation to help in the manner in which we are speaking. We want the ROS scavenging abilities of melatonin. In my opinion, the best way to achieve this is with the new tacrine–mel…

My company Ceretropic sells it in sublingual dropper vials. That is why I put that "advertisement" tag in there. A few other vendors sell it as well, but in bulk powder form. Keep in mind that I would never suggest a supplement just because I sell it. I don't want to come across…

Just do a yeast starter with some DME malt like homebrewers do. Then use a conical fermenter so that you can harvest off the yeast for the next batch. Of course I am biased being a homebrewer.
