I've been able to get Dihexa for a long time. However, there are no analytical testing methods yet, nor does sigma carry a reference standard. So I have not offered it yet, since I cannot analyze it to my satisfaction. I have a bag of it sitting on my desk, though.

Yes, an NMR would work for identification. We still need LC or GC to get purity, though. I suppose titration would work to get purity too, after an NMR is run.

It does have a long half life. It was 12 days in rats, when injected IV. The modifications to the peptide protect it from degradation much better than just N and C-terminal modifications.

Well those reasons are there too. But that comment was referring to the feasibility of its use. It is soluble in DMSO and acetonitrile, which are not really ideal for ingestion. Since Dihexa is not orally bioavailable, and not water soluble, that makes it very hard to use safely.…

There is a reason I have not done anything with Dihexa yet. And smelling from DMSO is a very commonly reported side effect.
