Eurycomax - my (almost 1 year update)

Original post in this thread

anexanhume · 23 points

A year ago, my (41M) “male health” stack was black ginger, 1 cap Cistamax, 2 caps Tribugen, and 1 tablet TA 10%. I immediately switched to 2 caps Eurycomax when it launched almost a year ago. The images show my testosterone and free testosterone comparison of early May last year to last week now on Eurycomax. I’m happy to report my own experiential perception of the swap matches the results!

Cannot wait for the all of these products. That performance probiotic sounds amazing. I’ve had a lot of luck with Biogaias L reuteri.

Have you looked into the probiotic strain LP124? It’s associated in literature with centenarians and has powerful byproducts it produces such as mesaconic acid which is supposed to be pretty powerful.

That is incredibly exciting, can’t wait to see it. I’m having good luck with my protein diversification and fiber diversification stack right now. I’m stacking the following in a smoothie: hemp protein (also contains a good amount of fiber it’s pretty much full spectrum), infinifiber, undenatured grass fed whey, sheep’s yogurt (experimenting with some kefir as well), wild blueberries, chia seeds, flax seeds, 6 SL HMO, 2 FL HMO, several probiotic strains I’ve picked for various purposes and some other things and man my immune resilience and exercise recovery are just astounding. I also have an obscene stack being ingested with it of course so it’s getting a wide array of beta glucans and 400mg SIRT6 Activator Fucoidan in the mix as well.

I’ve been messing with radically changing my microbiome ecology as well by trying out Kefirlab shots. They have 100 trillion CFU total of 36-37 strains. There’s a regular kefir company as well that uses their strains to produce a milk kefir with them that’…

Yes, I read about LP124. It's a strain of Lactobacillus plantarum that makes mesaconic acid. The data is interesting, but it is a fresh research strain with no commercial availability, no human trial data, and no regulatory clearance for use in supplements yet. It might become something we can look at in the future, but right now there is no immediate path to commercialization with it.

That being said, our performance probiotic blend has two different strains of Lactobacillus plantarum in it with actual clinical data. One of them was isolated from Taiwanese pickles, and the other from pickled chili peppers.

https://cdek.pharmacy.purdue.edu/trial/NCT06893549/

I've already seen the results from this study privately, and they are really impressive! Then the other strain.

So one of the strains improves muscle mass and performance, and the other improves joint inflammation and pain. These are just the plantarum strains in the performance blend. Then we have B. longum, P. pentosaceus, L. johnsonii, and L. brevis in it as well. The core blend has L. acidophilus, B. lactis, L. fermentum, L. brevis, C. butyricum, and L. reuteri. Both of them have around 120B CFU total. That's massive for a probiotic blend like this.

That's the the other thing... I do not believe that Kefirlab claim of 100T CFU one since bit. Research on actual kefir products establishes a realistic ceiling. The highest scientifically documented CFU counts for milk kefir grains from the United States were measured at approximately 10.43 billion CFU/g. At that density, one cup (~240 mL, ~240g) would contain roughly 2.4 trillion CFU. That's the upper ceiling reported in the scientific literature for extraordinary, optimally fermented kefir. To hit 100 trillion CFU, you'd need that same density across ~10 cups (2.4 liters) of peak-density kefir, which doesn't fit in a 2.5 oz shot. Alternatively, the density would need to be about 40X higher than the best scientifically documented kefir. That's a massive stretch.

For comparison:

* Lifeway Kefir (another leading kefir product) reports 25–50 billion CFU per cup

* Colorado State University documents kefir at >20 billion CFU per serving

* Fermented beverage research typically finds LAB counts in the range of 10⁶ to 10⁹ CFU/mL, so roughly 1 million to 1 billion per mL

Even at the upper end of 10⁹ CFU/mL, a 74 mL (2.5 oz) shot would contain roughly 74 billion CFU. That's 1,350x short of the 100 trillion claim. 100 trillion CFU in a 2.5 oz liquid shot is almost certainly not achievable by any real-world fermentation process. The best documented kefir in scientific literature tops out around 2–3 trillion CFU per full cup. I am calling total horseshit on their numbers.

Is ND done launching new products?

We are absolutely NOT done with new products. We are in the thick of development for a bunch of them. Some of them are just taking longer than expected to get perfect, so we have had a lull in releases. That's just becau
