Behind the Scenes at Nootropics Depot: Inside Our Pharmaceutical-Grade Testing Labs 🧪

We were recently featured in a PricePlow article that goes behind the scenes of our Tempe, AZ pharmaceutical-grade labs and testing process. It walks through how we use in-house UPLC/HPLC, custom analytical methods, and even a cell culture program to verify bioactive content and better understand how ingredients actually interact with human cells. The piece also talks about our work calling out under-dosed or misrepresented products in the wider market, and how Omnient Labs is now offering our testing capabilities to other brands to help raise quality standards across the industry.
If you’re interested in the “how” behind Nootropics Depot and why we’re so obsessive about data, it’s a solid overview worth a read.

the combination in one company of two or more stages of production normally operated by separate companies - from the link you shared.
Dude, you offer co-manufacturing and lab testing : that’s your business, and you also happen to produce your own products. Yeah, I’d expect a testing lab for hire to have the testing equipment, and a co-manufacturer to have pill presses, but for some reason you want to make it sound like something extraordinary.
You can laugh? That’s surprising : I rarely see guys who write Wikipedia-long responses with a sense of humor. :)

I'm no longer even sure what you are arguing. We used to use contract manufacturers and contract labs just like most other brands in the industry. We got lied to and let down constantly, so I built a cGMP certified manufacturing facility and an ISO accredited lab so that we could ensure things were done right. I built these facilities specifically to produce Nootropics Depot products. That's called vertical integration. Almost no other supplement brands do that. They rely on outside contract manufacturers and outside labs for everything. Only a few brands like NOW Foods and Nature Made do have their own manufacturing and lab testing in-house. 95% of supplement brands don't. Then I also built a reference standard manufacturing lab, where we develop novel standards for things that don't exist yet. Everyone else just waits for Chromadex, PhytoLab, Sigma Aldrich, LGC etc. to make them. I built a lab to do it ourselves, so we can bring out novel things other brands can't. Then I built out a cell culture lab, where we are culturing human brain cells to study these bioactives that we isolate. I cannot name a single other supplement company in the world that has that capability in house. That's definitely outside the course of ordinary business in the supplement industry, a.k.a. extraordinary. You started this by saying we were not vertically integrated. Now you have moved the goal posts to that we are not extraordinary. Shall we move the goalposts again?
