Did shipping just get even more expensive?

As you can see here the "Handling" adds so much extra on top of the shipping price, $56 for Fedex and $67 for DHL which is honestly nuts. It's a lot lower if I choose the much slower "Standard Worldwide Mail" shipping method and is only $2 then. I'm confused because this extra handling price didn't happen with my previous orders which I used Fedex for, did something change?

Since you said you are in Norway, that's likely a remote area delivery fee that the private carriers assess for addresses that are outside their normal routes. Since we don't have a list of every address in the world in various "remote areas" defined by each carrier, we have to regularly look out for them and update zones. Your previous order likely had that charged by the carriers, but we probably just footed the bill and lost money on your order. Then we likely updated the zone afterwards. If you give me the order number from your previous order, I can look it up and seeb if that's it, or if there is an error in shipping quotes for your address.
The private carriers are constantly changing what they consider a remote area as well, as they pull out of unprofitable areas. I've seen it as high as $100 for some areas. They don't update the actual mail rate. They just add on this massive extra fee to it. It screws us all the time.
