Do any ND supplements contain AHCC?

I’m looking for a good active hexose correlated compound (AHCC) supplement. I noticed ND does not have a specific AHCC supplement but wondering if any of their mushroom extracts have this compound? Or perhaps an AHCC supplement is in the works, u/misteryouaresodumb??

Wow I didn’t know all of that. Thanks for the explanation. It makes sense that they would market it toward vulnerable people trying to clear viruses, which is the situation I’m in. Other than the Immune Defense, do you have any recs for supplements to strengthen my immune system against viruses?

To be clear, there is scientific evidence of the efficacy of the product they call AHCC. They have run effect studies, so I don't want to make it seem like the product itself bought from the Japanese company is a fraud. It seems to have effects. The issue is that they either don't know what the actives are, and are trying to make it seem like they do, or they know what they are and are keeping them secret for intellectual property purposes. Knowing what I know about analytical testing for very specific structures of alpha/beta-glucans, I would bet they just don't know. Most people don't realize how difficult it is to quantify different alpha/beta-glucans from each other. It's not even really normal chemistry. It's enzyme chemistry, and sometimes the enzymes don't exist to separate the glucans from each other. It's a problem we have been trying to solve for 7 years or so on our mushrooms. We have discovered some really big things regarding beta-glucans, but as of yet we have been unable to get Megazyme to make a specific enzyme to get the chemistry right. On paper and in theory our process should work. In practice it just doesn't. Sometimes science doesn't work in the real world like it does in theory. However, what we have not done is make up some random name to confuse people into thinking we made a new compound. This is where the dishonesty comes in, in my opinion.

Let's take lion's mane for example. We have been working for 7 years to elucidate all the active compounds in both the fruiting body and mycelium, then separate, isolate, and concentrate enough of them to create reference standards for all of them. Then we have used those reference standards to create analytical methods to quantify them. SEVEN YEARS, and we still have not changed our specification for lion's mane, or made up random unproven claims on it. Imagine if we just said: "Hey, we don't really know what the fuck is in here, and how it is working. However, that doesn't sell product! Let's just make up a name and tell everyone our lion's mane is Advanced Cyathin Neurogenic Compound." Then we start selling our lion's mane as ACNC. Then random companies out there start selling mixtures of other mushrooms labeled as ACNC. It would be madness!

The real fraudsters are the companies claiming to sell AHCC by just lying out their ass. Go on Amazon right now and search for AHCC. Make a note of all those companies that show up, and be sure to never buy anything from any of them ever again. Just click on some of them and look at their labels. It's ridiculous.

The immune system is complex, and viruses are varied. It's hard to just give simple recommendations because of that. Immuse is a really cool one you might look into. We are out of stock right now, but we will have more up on the site soon. If you look at the immune section on our site, you will see all the products we sell that have some effect on the immune system.

I personally take Infini-C, Quercefit, D3/K2, glutathione, Infini-B, andrographis, yeast extract, Shoden, and green tea/EGCG every day.
