What's the reasoning for Agmatine to have a serving dose of 250mg?

At that point would it even effect NMDA receptors? Is the serving dose moreso for people looking for enegery/gym pumps? Or is it just for safety/legal reasons?
I'm looking to use it for gulatamate modulator.

I saw an old post stating that agmatine makes your brain less malleable since it’s an nmda antagonist. I’ve always wondered if this means that using agmatine during a tolerance break (complete abstinence) from kratom would actually decrease the effectiveness of the break? But it seems some people report that it appears to lower tolerance faster during breaks than without it.
Also curious if you ever experience a muting of some of kratoms effects from the 250mg nightly agmatine? In my limited experience, taking 500mg agmatine twice a day for about a week seems to block kratoms effects for the next few days even after stopping the agmatine.

The malleable explanation is an oversimplification. People say it makes you less malleable because blocking NMDA reduced glutamatergic currents. Lower glutamate action results in lower LTP. However, over-activation of NMDA is also what causes tolerance. This is why blocking it can help reduce/slow that tolerance.
I do think that agmatine can block some of the effects from kratom, but that is kind of the point. You can't have your cake and eat it too. To reduce tolerance, you will have to give up some of the positive effects during that time. This is obviously going to be more noticeable at 500mg twice a day. At 250mg once a day it seems to be a good balance of tolerance reduction and keeping the effects. It also depends on dosages. If you are using a ton of kratom, 250mg agmatine might not do a whole lot.
