Pure baicalein would be awesome since it has reasonable bioavailability. I can’t see you all doing pure baicalin unless you make a liposomal product like you do with rephyll.

Baicalein is just the aglycone of baicalin. Your body will deglycosylate it in the GI tract. Your microbiome will determine how quickly that happens, though. Interestingly enough, it is not baicalein that goes into systemic circulation after you take it. It's baicalin. The baicalein you take will convert to baicalin systemically by UDP-glucuronosyltransferase after absorption. Taking baicalin will convert to baicalein hydrolysis by β-glucuronidase derived from intestinal bacteria, which will then absorb, which will then convert back to baicalin in serum by UGT. So while baicalin has low direct bioavailability, it does concert to baicalein in the GI tract. It's just funny that is also converts back in serum, and that baicalin is the active form once in the bloodstream. You could certainly use some strategies to make baicalin more bioavailable, but it might just be better to take a higher dose and let your microbiome convert it.
The whole liposome thing is a big scam to me. We have been doing a lot of testing on the supposed liposomal products on the market, and I am leaning towards the whole things being a scam. I am not saying the concept of liposomes is a scam. Clearly they are made and used properly in the pharmaceutical industry. However, I think most/all of the liposomal products in the supplement market are a scam. I am not referring to Rephyll or some of the patented stuff we sell. Those are made properly. I am talking about the generic liposomal shit out there. Our testing is pointing to it all just being whatever the compound is mixed with soy lecithin in a sonicator. That's NOT how you properly make a liposome... We have found this out by trying to bring our our own generic liposomal products, and digging through the data and pushing the manufacturers to explain their production processes. We have also done some SEM/TEM analysis, and are going to be doing some flow cytometry and HP-TLC work to really prove it. From what we have seen so far, all the generic liposomes are just soy lecithin mixed with whatever active ingredient you want in a sonicator. The real way to make it is using thin-film hydration with the Bangham method. That method involves dissolution of the lipid in an organic solvent, evaporation of the solvent, and the dispersion of the obtained lipid film in aqueous media. The compound to be entrapped can be included in the aqueous media (for hydrophilic drugs) or in the lipid film (for lipophilic drugs). However, the encapsulation efficiency of water-soluble drugs is low (5%–15%). Moreover, this method produces large and nonhomogeneous MLVs that require sonication or extrusion processes to be produced in homogeneous small ULVs. So this is much more complicated than just mixing shit in a sonicator with soy lecithin and calling it a day. I honestly think most of the generic "liposomes" on the market right now are not even liposomes.
