All phenibut on the market is racemic. Not a single sample over the 8 years we have existed has ever tested as anything other than a 50/50 mixture of enantiomers. This includes Noofen and others that some have claimed to be R-phenibut. We've done a ton of testing on that.
That being said, I did go into the office and smell the retained sample of the batch you said. I kind of see what you are saying with the smell I wouldn't say citrus. I would more say fruity/floral. It's feint, and I would not have noticed had you not said anything. However, I do smell what you are referring to. I am having our lab double check on the polarimeter, and compare that batch to two other batches, just to see if there is any different in optical rotation that we can see. We have not seen it in the past, but no harm in double checking this specific batch.
