Have you noticed this with your NAC too? Had two 180 capsule NAC from ND so far, and they always smell like a mix of sulphur and fruit. Vs the Jarrow stuff I have which I keep for stock emergencies only smells of sulphur, and not very strong sulphur either.

I can smell a bottle of NAC and see if I pick up any fruit smells. The sulfur smell is always constant in NAC. That's just the sulfide group in the molecule.
