I recently purchased some nicotinamide mononucleotide and noticed some tablets have brown spots. Is this normal?

Yes, that's normal. It's the enteric coating from friction on the machine. It's just the food grade coating that can caramelize a bit with heat from the friction on the drum they spin in while coating. There's nothing wrong with it. We hand sorted the entire batch to pull out the most obvious darker ones, but we are talking almost half a million tablets sorted by hand. It's a big undertaking. Again, they are perfectly fine. We just wanted to remove the really dark spot ones to avoid people freaking out.
