Looking to grab some LM for use in Stamet's microdosing protocol.
Anyone use both brands and can compare the 2?
What they were answering

I know you'd prefer not to engage in industry drama these days, but would you mind sharing which lab turned out to be fraudulent? Or perhaps how to know whether a lab is fraudulent?

I really want to, but talks with our lawyers have made me hold off for now. I wish it was like the old days when I just called out anyone I found out were doing shady things, but I have to be very defensive these days from a legal perspective. It's a total fraud, though. Completely fake results. We tested our theories out by sending many samples from multiple shell companies to them to see what they would give back. We sent samples of lion's mane with zero erinacines or hericenones, and told them we expected 1%, 2%, 5%, etc. Sure enough, they came back just over the numbers we told them we expected. Of course we had to pay them first. They won't release results till you pay them. It's pay to play. You pay, they give you the number you want. To test it out ever further, we sent samples of yeast labeled as lion's mane with expected erinacine/hericenone numbers. They also gave us just over the expected results after we paid. IT WAS FUCKING YEAST!!!! Not even a mushroom, much less lion's mane... Total fraudulent dry lab! And these are the results the sham /r/MushroomSupplements are using to justify their stances!
So while I can't publicly name them yet, it's pretty obvious who I am speaking about if you look a bit. Who are the people making erinacine/hericenone claims? What lab do they use for their results? Who have I been criticizing for years for putting unverified and unrealistic results on their mushroom products? Hell, even Mind Nutrition jumped in to question their sham results. It's not just me yelling about this fraud. Plus, the whole idea that us as Nootropics Depot are misleading people gets more and more ridiculous as the years go by. You know how much money I could have made if I just brought out a lion's mane product making claims of erinacines/hericenones, and just used the results from this lab?!? Yet here I am, choosing to not bring anything new out till I am 100% sure of the science. Then certain people in /r/MushroomSupplements use that as evidence our products are not good. "They don't even claim anything on the labels." No shit! It's called scientific integrity. It's too bad so few people in the industry have it.
