Reading thru some of the posts I cam across one that mentioned 4-DMA-7’8-DHF can lead to hairloss - any info on that or how to prevent?

"Some people find that taking things that increase BDNF can make hair loss worse. Some people find no effect."
If that's the case won't most people who exercise, especially athletes, lose hair a lot quicker as exercise increases BDNF a lot more? I remember back in the days there used to be this bro science myth that Semax makes you lose hair because of the increased BDNF, lol

This is why the link is not so clear. It's not like every athlete is bald. LOL. Some people might find more hair loss with increased BDNF from exercising, but the vast majority won't. Some people get hair loss with SSRIs. Most don't. I am sure some people found more hair loss from semax, but the vast majority won't. As always, it's a vocal minority that are the loudest. This might make it seem like there is more prevalence of something than their actually is. This is one of the pitfalls of forums. You only get the strong opinions on reactions to things. Who's going to be motivated enough to go write a post about reasonably subtle effects with no side effects? It's hard to normalize for this forum effect as an individual. I at least have access to our expansive customer support history. I can see when there is a clear pattern of people writing in and saying they got X side effect. It's not scientific, but gives a bit broader of a picture than forum posts. There's really no replacement for larger datasets. So far we have not had anyone saying they noticed hair loss with 7,8-DHF or 4'DMA-7,8-DHF. The idea that modulation of the TrkB receptor can lead to hair loss/growth changes does have evidence, but no real world incidences of it so far for the 7,8-DHF flavones.
