How much NALT for 400mg 5-HTP daily? Matcha for EGCG?

Hello guys, I have two questions;

I want to take 400mg HTP daily. I have heard many people suggesting a 10/1 NALT ratio. Does that mean I have to take 4g NALT? Thats much over the recommended maximal dosage, would that still be effective?

The other question: I read Matcha has a lot EGCG, so I am taking 3grams cold Matcha powder with water and 400mg 5-HTP, is this enough EGCG or does Matcha even have a big amount of EGCG? Also, does it need to be hot to extract the EGCG or is it fine to just drink it cold, since I drink the powder with it?

Because otherwise I don’t notice the benefits. I weight 88kg, could something be wrong with me? I split the 500mg in two doses per day.

Normally I would not suggest taking 5-HTP every day for anyone. It's more of an occasional thing. You might actually find better result with bacopa. That will up-regulate tryptophan hydroxylase, which will naturally make more 5-HTP. That will help keep things in balance.

If you are going to take 500mg 5-HTP, then I would suggesting taking 200-300mg EGCG with it. You'd have to drink a lot of matcha. I personally use our enteric coated EGCG tablets. One of those would be perfect for you. For NALT, I would just take 350mg 1-2X per day.
