Why is Micromag so expensive?

As the title says, I'm wondering why it's so pricy?
Pure Encapsulations offers "UltraMag" 120caps of 225mg Elemental mag (as Sucrosomial magnesium) for 2/3rds of the price of the 90 caps.
Is there something I'm missing?
Thanks!

Do you know if N is selling pure Magtein or mixed? I have a feeling that J is doing that "mixing thing" based on one of the Amazon reviews. I just bought it as it's a lot cheaper and it's one of the most reputable brands. Not that you will get a different effect from using the generic magnesium l-theornate (they should still be the same chemical...right?)

I can't really openly comment on who I think is doing or not, otherwise I'll just cause more legal trouble. Generic magnesium L-threonate is not always fully chelated. You'll find the generic doesn't fully dissolve in water in a lot of cases. There are Chinese suppliers making good fully chelated L-threonate, or at least there were a couple years ago. However, the ones I knew making it stopped because of cease and desist letters sent from AIDP. I have not tested any of current ones that I know are making it. I do know that the ones still making it and risking legal action from AIDP generally are willing to skirt rules, which doesn't usually bode well for quality. If they are willing to throw caution to the wind by violating the patent, why not make a bit more margin by cutting some corners as well? You have to ICP-MS it for magnesium content, then do a titration test to see if it is fully chelated to know for sure.
