Why is Micromag so expensive?

As the title says, I'm wondering why it's so pricy?
Pure Encapsulations offers "UltraMag" 120caps of 225mg Elemental mag (as Sucrosomial magnesium) for 2/3rds of the price of the 90 caps.
Is there something I'm missing?

Probably just different deals by the patent holders. But the way nootropics depot operates is different than most vendors as they take more safety measures in every step of the process. If you're not buying products unique to Nootropics Depot, that's what you're paying for most of the time.

Yeah, we test every ingredient the same, even if it is patented. We don't just trust those suppliers because they hold the patent. We empirically validate that the sucrosomial magnesium and zinc are meeting our specs. We actually had to reject a small batch of sucrosomial zinc last year because the zinc content fell outside the specs, so we definitely hold patented products to the same high-level standards we do everything that goes into our products.
That being said, the costs have come down for us on it. We just didn't do a pricing reassessment because of supply chain issues out of Italy last year because of the pandemic. However, we should be all past those, so we just dropped the pricing on Micromag significantly. That should make it a lot more cost effective for everyone.
