What Nootropics most significantly increase Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF)?

Would compounds that increase BDNF or its expression be adaptogens or something you would take for a short time to force those structural changes?

That's still not 100% settled. From personal experience, 7,8-DHF feels more like an adaptogen. Effects do not fade over time, and actually build up. There has to be some sort of adaptogenic mechanism at play that we don't yet know about. We just don't have the data yet to say for sure.
