Don’t waste your money on NALT (N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine). The bioavailability is remarkably poor. If you want to supplement Tyrosine, might as well get the (usually) more cost-effective and more bioavailable L-Tyrosine.

Gonna be controversial here - That's like saying don't waste money on NAC because L-cysteine is more bioavailable in raising blood L-cysteine levels.
It's entirely possible that an N-acetyl group confers additional benefits that outweigh bioavailability.

It absolutely does, or there is something we don't fully understand about the affinities that get changed by the N-acetyl grouping. I much much prefer NALT. I thought it was bullshit myself when I read that 1998 study. This was way back in 2010 when I was just a young nootropic scamp muddling my way through shit. I assumed NALT was shitty because of that study, but then I tried it. I got much better effects from it than regular L-tyrosine. So I knew there had to be something up. I get being skeptical, but that old ass study should not be the only thing we use to assess whether something is useful or not.
