u/MisterYouAreSoDumb · Natrium Health & Nootropics Depot

I started Ceretropic in 2013. Nootropics Depot started at the same time as Ceretropic, and the guy that ran it was named Matt. When we both launched around the same time, we started talking to each other on Reddit and resonated with each other's ethos. They were about 45min from me here in Phoenix. For the first couple years we helped each other out on tons of things in the industry, and we became personal friends. Matt's boss, the guy that owned the parent company behind ND, decided to shut it down one day because of risk reasons. We were running Ceretropic at the time, and Matt convinced him to sell me Nootropics Depot and bring it under the Ceretropic team. So we relaunched Nootropics Depot under our umbrella. After a while we started having tons of banking and card processing issues with Ceretropic, and we focused mainly on Nootropics Depot. After a few years we decided that we were never going to win the fight with Ceretropic, and the way the environment was at the time, so we decided to shut Ceretropic down. Around the same time we launched Natrium Health.

Ever since then, Nootropics Depot has been our main brand. However, the same team that was behind Ceretropic is still here behind ND. We have just grown that team a lot since. Also, Matt eventually came to work for me. So the guy that originally launched ND is on our team now as well. I was just not part of the company in the early years. Matt grew it alongside Ceretropic from the other side of the city, and I took it over in 2015. You can see our original launch post for Ceretropic back in 2013. The anniversary for that was yesterday, in fact!

Then sad day in 2018.

You can see me talking about the ND/Ceretropic thing on this post way back then.

Then our relaunch post when I took ND over.

So while I have been closely related to Nootropics Depot since it launched through my friendship with Matt, it was not under my team till 2015. Ceretropic was our OG company, may it rest in peace.
