Yes, this is a good safe dose for EGCG. Remember, it is 45% EGCG. So a 500mg dose is giving you 225mg EGCG. You only need to start being concerned with EGCG doses above 800mg/day. That's the lower limit for where studies

Your body tries to balance out everything. Homeostasis is a bitch. However, a good dose of EGCG in an enteric coated tablet with piperine does help with weight loss. Usually it is part of a bigger stack, though.
