Did you guys test Vitacost? And what's your basis for calling them garbage? Just wondering, because they've been my go-to supplement company lately, considering their pricing and large number of patented supplements available.

We have tested some of their stuff in the past, and found issues. Also, Consumer Lab has tested their stuff and finds issues, too. We subscribe to Consumer Lab and read all their reports.
Here is a picture of their ALCAR from one of Consumer Lab's tests.
They also tested their saint john's wort, and it only contained 13.6% of the hypericin it claimed to. They also tested their berberine and found it to contain less than 90% of what they claimed. They also tested their ginger, and their capsules only contained 83% of the weight they claimed. Vitacost is a bottom barrel low-cost supplement site. Their goal is the be the cheapest. Ask them for information on their quality control and analytical testing, and ask to see some COAs and lab data for their batches, and see what they say. To be the cheapest, you have to cut corners somewhere. Swanson, Vitacost, Bulk Supplements, etc. are all companies I consider garbage because of how they treat quality control and lab testing, and because we have tested multiple things of theirs that have failed our testing.
