We Should Shift Discussion On This Subreddit, Just A Little Bit: Hear me out

Original post in this thread

Discussion in this sub has been primarily limited to nootropics and supplements solely for the use of elevating our natural baseline and improving cognitive function. But does discussion in this sub need to limited to just this topic? Hear me out.

I believe there is something that a lot of people are missing out on, and that is the combination of vitamins, supplements, and nootropics alongside psychoactive drugs. This is something researched in the medical community, however not as much as I would personally like. Don't expect this post to be too eloquent, but essentially, all drugs alter your brain chemistry as well as the way many amino acids and vitamins are metabolized by our bodies. And a lot of drugs will have negative effects on our health because of this.

The MDMA community was probably the first to "discover" this, at least in the recreational drug scene. For those unfamiliar, they call this preloading and post-loading. Because of the damage MDMA can cause, many people supplement with multiple different things before and after. Most people follow the guides available on tripsit, reddit, and elsewhere, but there are also many people who have tweaked it and added things…

I agree completely, although, there's no way any one person could take charge and lead it. It has to be a community effort, although you're totally right about the sub growing and being less open to intelligent discussion. I guess i was just hoping that more of us could collectively push back and start having more in depth discussions on this sub again. I thought that maybe a new(ish) topic to look into might put more of a drive into the community.

Perhaps making a new subreddit and compiling information in the wiki would be best, but that's something i'll need to start working on another day lol.

I am not sure anyone here can point to a person that has posted more breadth and depth of information than I have. If you go back through my post history, it's nuts even for me. The sheer amount of things I have discussed in detail over the past 8 years is pretty crazy. So trust me, nobody is more frustrated than I am at the state of things. You are right, one person cannot be relied on to do it. It has to be a community effort. I have tried very hard over the years to elevate the discourse here. However, I can't do it alone.
