Epicor "withdrawal"?

I've been taking Epicor pretty consistently for almost a year now, and it's been great. I used to frequently get seasonal colds in the fall/winter and allergies in the spring/summer, and Epicor has helped tremendously.
However, I've noticed a pattern. Whenever I run out of Epicor I usually don't reorder it straight away - I do this with all of my supplements to give my body a break from them. With Epicor specifically, two or three days after I run out I start to feel like I have a cold coming on. It's never developed into a full-blown cold, but I get kinda sniffly, tired, and that unmistakable woozy head pressure that I always get with a cold (hard to put the feeling into words).
The first time this happened I thought it was a coincidence, the second time I thought, "huh, weird", but it's happened three times now, always the same. Has anyone else experienced this or have any thoughts?

Epicor is nice but too expensive. I have considered taking the animal feed version. It’s far less expensive.

It sucks that the patent holders mark it up so much. However, at least they run human studies on it. Those are not cheap, but I do think they could stand to lower their margins.
