Emphasis on might. But Dr. Fauci lays out his concern about ACE inhibitors and coronavirus in his coronavirus update today, and EGCG is an ACE inhibitor.
But I want to emphasize that the jury is still out on this, and that several cardiology associations do not think the current evidence supports any action at this time.

Yup, I'll personally go with this take. Hydroxychloroquine is likely effective against COVID-19 due to it being a zinc ionophore (is what i've seen smart people comment). Quercetin and EGCG are also zinc ionophores. That might be the reason u/MisterYouAreSoDumb is currently using these two (among other supplements)...

Correct. The reason some of these quinine derivatives are helping is that they are zinc ionophores. Quercetin and EGCG are, too.
