Hi. I've been taking ND's Synapsa in the morning for a few months now. I find that it's calming and helps with focus in addition to the memory effects--all of which I'm really enjoying--but I've noticed the reduction in motivation that many people talk about. I've tried cordyceps 10:1, Panamax, and the sublingual tyrosol extract to combat this, but cordyceps has been inconsistent (more useful for workouts than intellectual work), Panamax has had quickly diminishing returns and negatively affects my sleep (after 2-3 days its effects are greatly diminished, so I have to cycle it frequently), and tyrosol has only been somewhat helpful. If NALT and tyrosine makes you anxious, you might try going one more step backwards and doing L-phenylalanine or DL-phenylalanine.
