Why is the nootropics subreddit so opposed to plant based diets, despite the overwhelming scientific evidence in favor for it?

Epidimieology demonstrates that plant based dieters are far less risk for chronic diseases, diabetes, heart disease, cancer.

Clinical trials show plant based diets able to reverse plaque in the arteries... Haven't found any other diets capable of doing that.

Longest living populations such as Okinawans and Adventist Christians eat a majority plant based diet (and those that deviate suffer worse outcomes)

Why is this subreddit so in favor of science, but when it comes to diet they take the bro approach of eat as much meat as possible?
