Question about NootropDepot

Original post in this thread

volleyballbro · 14 points

My question is, is there any actual proof that they lab test their product? On their website they claim to have top notch 1st and 3rd party lab testing, and go “in depth” into the methods they use... however, they don’t show any actual proof of lab testing? I get that the owner is active on this sub, but is there any proof to show they really test the purity? All they do is state that they lab test, and that’s about it. I was looking at buying their phenibut due to the reviews, but now I’m a bit skeptical.

Also I have nothing against this product, I’ve only heard good reviews, however this hasn’t ever actually been through up (from what I saw) and hopefully I can get a response. I messaged the owner as he is well known on the thread, but to no avail.

What they were answering

He's also a mod, with at least one other mod quite vocal in their defense. I always felt it a conflict of interest for the sub. I've used their products, and while some work, others haven't (with other brands working as desired). Examples are Rhodiola (both versions) and Nigella. I'll get down-voted to oblivion or flamed for even daring to make the observation or share the experience. Probably even get added to the automod list they love to (ab)use here.

I was a moderator long before I started this company. None of the other mods have any relation to any of my companies, and everything is kept extremely unbiased. I exclude myself from decisions that pose a conflict of interest, and that has been from day one. The other mods and I also don't always agree on decisions, but ultimately I respect theirs and maintain that separation to an extremely high level. People like you have been making claims of bias and false statements about me abusing my position for years; pretty much since the first day I launched Ceretropic. It's nothing new. It's still false, just as it was on day one. I don't even touch the automod of this sub. I don't ban people for criticizing us, nor do I remove comments or posts from competitors. Do you know how many people have said things similar to you over the years, and even tried to get the admins to step in? It's ridiculous. The moderation log is all accessible to any mod and any admin. They would be able to see really quickly if I was abusing my mod powers. I don't, though. I am honest and open. So you can keep making vague claims of bias with new accounts all you want; evidence be damned. It's not going to change the fact that they are just lies and conjecture.

There is not a person here that has done more to advance the nootropics community more than I have. Full stop. Not a single person. I will continue to help push this community forward, in spite of the BS and lies that get thrown my way by people like you. That's why people support me. Call them shills if you want, but people that have been here a long time recognize that I am the best chance this community has for improving the scientific and analytical standards that drive the quality of nootropics everyone here has access to. If I go away, that mission stops. Who else is doing anything close to what I am doing with improving the quality of testing, QC processes, and openness for customers? Ask Swanson for their COAs and how they test, and see what they tell you. Ask Colmeric for their method and validation data on some of their tests... Ask any brand for details of their methodologies or pictures of their lab and production environment. Ask anyone out there for explanations for the limitations of certain methodologies and what they can and cannot test for. I am the only one even talking about any of this, much less trying to push it forward.

Replying to StickyVicky3 · Interesting, I suffer from bi-polar 2 so that makes alot of sense. I've recently started exploring Neutropics for relief and so far Rhodiola rosea and lion mane have been the most

Cognance is doing exactly as it was designed to do. The issue is that you have altered responses to 5-HT2A activation being bipolar. You want LESS 5-HT2A activation. Cognance will push you towards mania. That's less than
