Verifying a Certificate of Analysis

Original post in this thread

-Sarek- · 19 points

How exactly do I go about verifying a third party Certificate of Analysis? Companies just put a pdf of their CoA on their OWN WEBSITE. I'm not trusting that shit. Most of these testing places (eurofins, etc..) don't seem to have a database I can search.

You can call the lab, but you are not going to get far that way. I know the lab the company you are interested is using. We called them, and my lab director spoke to them. They WILL NOT give any data about their methods or results. Their testing methods are also internally developed methods. So basically they are total bullshit. The claims they are making on the COAs are not scientifically validated, and I think may be completely fabricated. I've been testing a bunch of people's product lately, and I have found more fake shit than ever before. TONSs of the mushrooms out there are plain fake... not even mushrooms. I am waiting on some more results, but I am going to release the data at some point. I just want to make sure I have all my ducks in a row before I do. NOBODY is properly testing mushrooms right now. It's a big problem.
