That's normal if you store it in any humidity. Alpha-GPC is VERY hygroscopic. It's probably the most hygroscopic thing out there. It pulls the moisture from the gelatin in our softgels after sitting for a bit! So after a while, the softgels get brittle. The GPC is sucking it in from the inside out! That's how much it absorbs water from its environment. So what happens with the capsules is if you have them in any humidity the GPC will pull it from the air. This makes it suck in together, because it is reducing the air pockets between the particles. The only way to avoid it is to store your GPC bottles in an airtight glass container to keep it from any humidity. It doesn't adversely affect how the product works, though. So you can just take them like that with no problem. It's just it will have a higher water content in them. If you were to try and put GPC that had absorbed water into capsules, then you would be under-dosing. However, It's already in the capsules. We measure all this stuff before encapsulation. So when it gets put into the capsules it has the correct amount of Alpha-GPC. So after that, you are not going to lose any. It will just look a bit different with a higher water content.
This is also why if you buy the Alpha-GPC 99% from us, it comes vacuum sealed inside another bag. Luckily we are in Arizona, and it is dry here. So we don't have to worry about it too much. Some of our customers in places like Florida have to be very careful handling pure alpha-GPC, though.
