Why is the 3% rosavin Rhodiola Rosea extract so much more expensive than the salidroside one if they're both Rhodiola Rosea?

I thought rosavins were more numerous than salidroside in the plant. Thanks.

Because the rosavins are mainly found in the rhizomes, and are actually low in the root itself. Salidroside is found in high amounts in the entire root. So you have a lot less plant material that can be used for a high-rosavin extract than you can for a high-salidroside one.
