Micromag: Caps vs Powder

I'm keen to try micromag, but I'm not sure if I should get capsules or powder. I generally prefer powdered supplements, but I don't know how well micromag dissolves in water, or what it tastes like. Can anyone fill me in?

The biggest advantage to our Micromag, in my opinion, is that a dose is a single capsule. Glycinate is two. L-threnoate is three. Even if you go with other vendors, you can't fit a whole dose of glycinate or threonate in a single capsule/tablet in a reasonable size. Some vendor's glycinate tablets are HUGE, and you need to take two. Our Micromag has a lot more elemental magnesium per mg. So we are able to make a single capsule be a dose that delivers 50% of your RDA. That's pretty unique in a highly-bioavailable magnesium. A lot of people don't compare like for like on pricing, either. I've seen people say our Micromag is more expensive than Magtein. That's definitely not true.
Magtein: $39.99 for 30 days supply. Gives you 144mg elemental per day.
Micromag: $24.99 for 30 days supply. Gives you 200mg elemental per day.
So you get more elemental per day for significantly cheaper than Magtein, and only need to take one capsule per dose instead of three.
Also, I have a theory that our Micromag and magnesium L-threonate are absorbing through the same pathway. Consider this: Micromag is a liposome encased by a sucrester, or sucrose ester. So it should absorb through the glucose transporters. I always assumed that magnesium L-threonate absorbed through the dipeptide transporters, due to it being an amino acid chelate. However, looking closer at things has me realizing that threonic acid is NOT an amino acid. It's a sugar acid! So it would not be absorbing through the dipeptide transporters, but would likely be going through the glucose transporters as well! If you look up studies of just threonic acid absorption, you can see it has affinities for the glucose transporters. This could be why it absorbs so well. It's going through a completely different absorption pathway than other magnesium forms, even glycinate. Well our Micromag would be going through that same pathway!
So if I am right about this, magnesium glycinate would be absorbing through PEPT1, but L-threonate and our Micromag would be absorbing through both SGLT1 and GLUT2. That's cool on its own, but what is one of the biggest touted benefits of magnesium L-threonate? It's ability to reach the brain! Well that is likely because it is then going through the abundant glucose transporters in the blood brain barrier! THIS could be why it reaches the brain better. Well our Micromag is also going to be following that pathway because of the sucrose ester encasing it. The brain runs on glucose. So there are more glucose transporters at the BBB than peptide transporters. So while glycinate does reach the brain, it is likely L-threonate and Micromag reach it more, due to being shuttled around like glucose instead of a peptide. Pretty cool!
