Does Polygala affect serotonin in any significant way?

Examine.com indicates its active components (Yuanzhi-1 particularly) inhibit SERT and are equipotent to fluoxetine. Particularly speaking about the ND extract, is this applicable to oral administration? Is the level of Yuanzhi-1 known for this specifiic extract?
Examine.com also says that in nice polygala fails to influence age-related decline in hippocampal serotonin. Another study showed that other constituents of the herb (polygalasaponins) actually have anti-serotonergic effects.
I don't believe there is any more research on the topic, especially not in humans. Has anyone noticed any interactions between the herb and other drugs with effects on serotonin? Particularly curious if it's effects on SERT are strong enough to block the effects of psychedelic drugs.

Is this the case because the main monoaminergic compound Yuanzhi-1 has a very low oral bioavailability and/or is present in polygala extracts in extremely low concentrations?

Is there a plan down the line to isolate this interesting compound and stack it in with a more robust polygala tenuifolia preparation?

More so the low concentrations. We want to do a higher Yuanzhi-1 extract, or a synthetically pure version of it. That is just harder than it seems. There are no reference standards for it. So confirming its presence and concentration is difficult.
