The synthesis for Imidazenil is underway.

Hey guys and gals. As Scarface would comment, all I got is my words and balls. SO, here I am claiming that the synthesis of Imidazenil has begun.

Anyone interested PM me. Extremely potent and water soluble AFIAIK, so someone adept in volumetric measuring is going to be required to handle this compound before it gets shipped to other participants.

Please let me know if someone of that sort can be found, with no financial reward apart from a small batch of Imidazenil for him or herself.

I posted everything over at Longecity: https://www.longecity.org/forum/topic/104226-group-buy-for-imidazenil/

I stand nothing to benefit from this and alreay reserved my spot for 5g, out of 25g @ 1000 USD. It looks like everyone is pretty interested in this, so it's going to happen on a first come first serve basis.

Best of luck on your dealing with shitty anxiety and angst.

partial positive allosteric modulator

All benzos are positive allosteric modulators, none bind to the GABA site on the ion channel...

Imidazenil is as much a partial agonist as zopiclone... the subtype selectivity is different but same deal.

Subtype selectivity on the ion channel doesn't make it a more "partial" agonist. it's a full agonist it's just more specific for certain subunits...

Definitely an interesting molecule - I anxiously await results from human trials.

You're right, all benzos are positive allosteric modulators of GABA. It's barbiturates that act as a full agonist at high concentrations. The variations in benzos are due to subtype selectivity.

This was the study I was referring to with my "partial positive allosteric modulator" comment: http://jpet.aspetjournals.org/content/266/2/1018.short

Positive allosteric modulators of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA)A receptors, including benzodiazepines and congeners, can be classified into three categories: 1) full allosteric modulators (i.e., triazolam and alprazolam) that act with high potency and efficacy at many GABAA receptors; 2) selective allosteric modulators (i.e., diazepam) that act with high potency and high efficacy at selected GABAA receptors; and 3) partial allosteric modulators (i.e., bretazenil) that act with high potency but low efficacy at many GABAA receptors. Imidazenil, an imidazobenzodiazepine carboxamide, has been characterized as a novel representative of the partial allosteric modulator class.
