Prolonged Intake of Coenzyme Q10 Impairs Cognitive Functions in Mice

There is many biochemical effects of any given chemical if you want to generalized it but I'm focusing on the difference between the 2 forms in regards to it being superior certainly in terms of absorption and raising CoQ10 levels in the blood. It is more active as an antioxidant similar to how r-dihydrolipoic acid is more effective than R-lipoic in many regards.

Comparing methyl B-12 to hydroxo is very different and not an applicable comparison. It's a chemically modified form rather than just the oxidized state of each other. Hydroxo can remove cyanide from the body methyl can't with anywhere near the same efficiency while methyl is more neuroactive.

I have no reason to be skeptical simply because they funded the studies anymore than any drug company funded studies or FDA approved drug. Which all the research is done by the company. That's just how it is. You can be paranoid and assume it's all falsify I guess but that seems groundless.

I see no reason to be negative towards them they created a stable form of a nutrient that appears to have superior results. Whether or not it holds up you can wait decades and see if any independent research gets done but there's really little incentive for any researcher to invest into a non patentable chemical unless they want to get FDA approval for it. Are you suggesting they are charging unfairly and misleading people even though they…

You know what, you're right, I am being a bit over-critical of ubiquinol compared to other things. It does have its advantages over ubiquinone that I should not completely discount. Also, I suppose a 2x price increase is not that unreasonable compared to other patented things with similar increases in efficacy. I do agree that a company putting their money where their mouth is is a good thing, and I do not want to discourage anyone from funding studies.

Regarding Dynamine: 100%, there is less evidence for it than something like ubiquinol. Compound Solutions is in the process of running studies, but they will have the same potential bias as a Kaneka funded one. Even so, it will be much less studied than many other things. No arguments there. It's all anecdotal at the moment.

I'll reconsider my stance on ubiquinol. No reason I should be discounting something simply because the research was funded by the patent holder.
