Magtein/Magnesium L-Threonate brand matters?

I'm having diarrhea from this form of Magnesium. I do not get this bad on glycinate but this form of magnesium works for me. It simply puts water on my panic-like anxiety.
So, I want to continue taking it but this laxative effect is not bearable.
I read that Magtein has patent and the AIDP Inc. sell the pure ingredients to manufacturers and finalized. I wonder if a different brand can make a difference. I thought this form is supposed to have minimum laxative effect. The recommended dosage was 2,000mg (just like other brands), and I've tried 1,000mg but still the same.

I honestly think some vendors are cutting their Magtein with generic synths, or are working generic lots in between legitimate lots. Some of the pricing I have seen just is not possible with AIDP's price controls, and it would be super easy to just buy a little Magtein and mix it in with a larger amount of a generic batch, or other forms. The price difference is astounding. If you found out that the one you bought was cut, or a completely different form of magnesium, I would not be too surprised. The way things are setup with Magtein makes it one of the most likely ones to have shady things going on with it. It would be much less likely if the patent holder allowed pricing to come closer to productions costs, but that is not the case as it stands right now.
