Magtein/Magnesium L-Threonate brand matters?

I'm having diarrhea from this form of Magnesium. I do not get this bad on glycinate but this form of magnesium works for me. It simply puts water on my panic-like anxiety.
So, I want to continue taking it but this laxative effect is not bearable.
I read that Magtein has patent and the AIDP Inc. sell the pure ingredients to manufacturers and finalized. I wonder if a different brand can make a difference. I thought this form is supposed to have minimum laxative effect. The recommended dosage was 2,000mg (just like other brands), and I've tried 1,000mg but still the same.

Ouch. Any recommending brand that I can trust?

I would assume any larger and more reputable brands would never risk the liability of cutting or misbranding generics as Magtein. So any larger and more reputable brand should be fine. Obviously we sell it too, which is how I know the ins and outs of what is going on with it.
