what do you mean? almost everything goes through the hepatic circulation and it's where aadc enzyme is primarily located in the periphery to metabolize, no? Albeit Idk the mechanism of hepatotoxicity with egcg so not really sure what I can add to counter act the liver risk. The paper you posted states that the oxidative stress markers were related to lipid peroxidation so perhaps vitamin E?
For now, I'm just going to drink a glass of green tea with my 5-htp/NALT and hope that that's sufficient to curb the nausea.

If we are interested in the EGCG primarily for the AADC inhibition, and the hepatotoxicity is mainly due to pro-oxidant effects that EGCG causes, we can combine it with a better antioxidant to counteract the hepatotoxicity while still getting the AADC inhibition. Vitamin E might be enough, or something like N-acetylcysteine.
