Caffeine/L-Theanine Capsules Evenly Distributed Throughout?
Original post in this thread

If I were to open up a Caffeine 100mg + L-Theanine 200mg capsule, then empty out about half of the ingredients, would that emptied out portion contain approximately 50 mg Caffeine and 100mg L-Theanine? Or is the Caffeine/L-Theanine not distributed evenly enough throughout the capsule, causing such issues as Caffeine/Theanine hotspots?
A 50mg/100mg capsule would be awesome, btw! Sometimes I want to take less Caffeine as I'm fairly sensitive to it, even with Theanine added the mix.

All professionally encapsulated products are evenly mixed. That's the only way to make them. You calculate the ratios of active ingredients needed to fill the volume capsule you want to use, based on the densities of the batches. Then you use a large mixer to blend them all together evenly. Then that mixture is run through the encapsulation machine. Then you have a checkweigher after the process to ensure everything is in-spec. So to answer your question: yes, if you dump out the capsules, and split the powder in half, you should get 50mg caffeine and 100mg L-theanine.
