Ceretropic Caffeine/NALT white residue

I noticed today that my bottle of the Ceretropic solution had this thick white residue on it. I haven't spilled anything on it but it is quite solid and smells bad. The white reside originates from the plastic part of the dropper. The solution is clear and there is nothing in the glass part either.
It has been getting exposed to indoor light, maybe it went bad? Has anyone else had this issue?

That's just caffeine that has fallen out of solution when the water evaporates. The Caffeine/NALT is a super-saturated solution. So when some of the solution gets on the bottle, the water evaporates leaving a residue behind. The same thing will happen with our L-theanine solution if you get some on the bottle. The water evaporates, which leaves residue behind.
