From my experience, Nootropicsdepot Lion's mane mushroom is worse than Powder City

Sorry for my bad English.
While powdercity lion's mane uplifts my mood and does not impair my cognition, ND Lion's mane decreased my digit span scores (tested on cambridge brain science) and did not enhance anything. It also worsened my gaming performance.
I tested ND lion's mane with various dosage and on an empty stomach. I miss the old Powdercity:(

Are you sure powdercity used a mycelium on grain product? They claimed their extract only used fruiting bodies when asked at the time.

The iodine tests I did showed it had starch in it. It could have been a mix of fruiting bodies and mycelium on grain, but I would need to do more testing to know for sure. The mycelium of Lion's Mane does have beneficial properties, though. This could also be why some people prefer it. I've been wanting to do a cultured mycelium extract of Lion's Mane for a while; which would avoid the starch contamination. However, I put that project on hold till we can fix our processing issues.
Properly testing mushroom extracts is a lot harder than other natural products, which is why we partnered with Nammex on ours. When I took over Nootropics Depot, I did not know enough about fungi to be comfortable saying we were selling a proper product. This is why I discontinued the one they used to sell, and went the route we did.
