I'm 99,99% sure that my last bottle of Doctor's Best's ALCAR contained little or no ALCAR.

There are three things that have always worked for me when trying to deal with physical fatigue. Creatine, Rhodiola and ALCAR. I've tried a lot of supplements along the years, including almost every adaptogen and amino acid out there, and this three are the only ones that I've found useful.

This three things work for me, without a doubt, every time. But I don't take Creatine for the hair loss problem and I only take Rhodiola when I'm really tired, because I'm afraid of receptor downregulation and I'm not really into serotoninergic stuff (and yes, I know that ALCAR also has some kind of influence onto serotonin receptors, but come on). So ALCAR is the only one of the three that I have been taking long term.

I've been popping ALCAR pills for years, I've also tried ALCAR-Arginate (big disappoint) and regular l-carnitine (very good but not as effective as ALCAR in my experience).

At the beginning of 2016 I bought that TMAO issue thing, which I don't believe anymore, and I stopped my consumption of ALCAR until April or so. Really bad decision, really unproductive time, I must have some kind of mitochondrial condition because I strongly missed it, while I was weak.

So, before…

I took all the pills. It was idiotic, but I convinced myself that it was a tachyphylaxis, tolerance, whatever, issue. But I don't think that there was anything active inside them, just the regular fillers.

If you have any left, I can certainly do a quick test on it to see if there is ALCAR in them, and try to estimate how much.
