I have over the past two weeks been taking 5mg melatonin capsules prior to bed, with and without Doxylamine Succinate, for sleep. My intention was to more or less sedate myself for long periods of time, for muscle regeneration. I have likewise been biking 5 miles a day to and from the gym, where I lift weights for an hour to an hour and fifty minutes. Fun fact: melatonin doses 1mg or higher only arose because a company had a patent on dosages less than that. So other companies just decided to up the dose to ridiculous amounts for shits and giggles, and to not be sued. Lower dosages are more effective and have less side effects. 1mg and higher only arose due to our stupid patent system.
