What is the current best Rhodiola brand?

Many of the older brands I can find by searching are discontinued. Can anyone recommend a good brand?
Gaia has popped up in the past as being a notably good brand, but they only standardize to rosavins and not salidroside. Why are they so highly recommended?
Also, is the idea that salidroside is stimulating and rosavins are calming, or something like that?
I'd prefer whole herb caps if possible, although I know a lot of people like Ceretropic's extract.

thanks, i appreciate the thorough reply.
I actually came across another study that found significant antifatigue effects, despite the researchers being unable to detect tyrosol in their extract, so this would coincide with your experience that salidrosides are the major endurance enhancing component. I recently received some 3% rosavin extract, along with some 3% salidroside extract so I will do some testing on my own, and try some various ratios of the two.
anecdotally, i've never noticed any stimulation from tyrosol (10mg via LEF Super Omega), is it likely that this is too low of a dose? I'll see if i notice any synergy when combining it with rhodiola.

Let me know how you react to each of them. Anecdotes I have gotten from people have all been fairly consistent. Nothing reported that would go against the idea that salidroside is the more stimulating of the two. Also, Salidroside has been shown to increase glucose uptake into skeletal muscle. That would explain the mechanism behind the increase in endurance.
