Anyone know a reliable supplier of bulk Nicotinamide Riboside (Niagen)?

I'm looking to try it for a few months, but the prices I'm finding are bit much. I've been looking for bulk powder and finding it on Alibaba from Chinese suppliers, but I've never bought supplements on Alibaba and can't satisfy myself regarding purity and safety. If anyone else has any ideas, it'd be much appreciated.

I've been on the lookout for an inexpensive, quality source for a while now with no luck. The hype cycle on on NR is just about at the peak, so I'd imagine it's only a matter of time before vendors find cost-effective ways to synthesize this and avoid IP issues in the process.
As much as I like the research around this compound, I think it's trajectory is going to mirror that of resveratrol: Lots of hype early on due to preliminary studies, but with real-world impact that doesn't live up to the expectations. As with resveratrol, NR (Niagen) is massively expensive up front but will get cheaper over the next few years. Still, I'm interested in trying it out.

Chromadex sets pricing very strictly. It's just not cost effective at the moment. Also, other synthesis methods that get around the patent are even more expensive than Niagen. Furthermore, it's really not all it is cracked up to be. It does not really give many subjective improvements. So it is going to be a hard sale at the current price levels. Even if it is giving some good results that are not consciously being noticed, consumers still look for acute subjective effects to assess whether or not it is worth the price. Most people are going to think it is a waste of money at the current price levels, and I would not fault them for that assessment.
