BROMANTANE/LADASTEN - What has this done to my brain?

Can someone comment about the increased risk of Alzheimers with bromantane due to amyloid buildup (what I read was like a 10x increased risk)? Does bromantane carry an unusual risk?
I wonder about /u/MisterYouAreSoDumb's thoughts on this.

It may increase the binding activity of a protein, Serum amyloid A (SAA), that when cleaved, can lead to an increase in beta-amyloid precursor protein (β-APP). This could lead to an increase in β-Amyloid. However, the study was done in rats with very high dosage, and the study did not attempt to make any direct correlations to Bromantane and Alzheimer's. It was using high dosages in rats to assess changes in the transcription of a bunch of different proteins. It was literally two sentences in the study. The risk does not seem very great at human dosages for normal healthy people. However, it's possible there is a risk there.
There were a couple good discussions on it recently.
