Regular ALA is available at a bargain price. Would there be any reason to buy NA-R-ALA over ALA? Mostly interested in the bodybuilding aspect.

Oh, nice. I did see some reports on a rare auto-immune hypoglycemia precipitated by ALA, mostly in people of Japanese or Korean descent with a certain genotype - do you know anything about that or mitigating risk?

That risk is really only there if you have the allele predisposing you to it. It's an immune response. I am not sure of how to mitigate it, though.
