Ocular delivery of peptides (Semax, Selank) with time release.

So I was thinking about a ROA for semax and selank that wasn't subQ or nasal and it dawned on me to research ocular dosing. The first study I found for ocular dosing of peptides is here:

PLGA microspheres for the ocular delivery of a peptide drug, vancomycin using emulsification/spray-drying as the preparation method: in vitro/in vivo studies

So apparently there's these new microspheres called PLGA microspheres that can hold different drugs for different time releases for IV, ocular, and oral dosing.

The cost of these isn't that expensive either, only about $274.95 with an avg. diameter (µm) of 10 and 50mg of them. (Not expensive for a trial at least)

The prep for these PLGA microspheres doesn't look that difficult either, outlined below

3.1. Microparticle Preparation Techniques

3.1.1. Solvent Evaporation Method

(1) Single emulsion process

Oil-in-water emulsification processes are examples of single emulsion processes. Polymer in the appropriate amount is first dissolved in a water immiscible, volatile organic solvent (e.g., dich…

What about delivery of these drugs where the sun don't shine?

Rectal administration only bypasses 2/3 of first pass metabolism. So it is not nearly as efficient as nasal.

German customs seized and destroyed my Semax/Selank order worth 240 $.

Most of our German customers use a reshipper in the EU when ordering peptides. We get regular powders into Germany no problem. However, sometimes they are weird with peptides. So usually German customers use a reshipper

Selank/Semax: Buffer with sodium bicarb okay?

Peptides are most stable in acidic conditions. When you start to make the solutions more basic, then hydrolysis becomes more likely.

NA Selank Amidate , shaken not stirred ?

Replying to __plasma · Shaking won't do anything bad to your Semax. Peptide bonds are not broken like this. Cue undergrad chemistry. Also, paging u/MisterYouAreSoDumb

Shaking should not be an issue with smaller peptides like this. The caution for that is more for larger ones like CJC-1295 and TB-500. I am not sure how legitimate of a concern that is, though. They are more like protein

Semax report and nasal spray problems..

Replying to srubek · same here! I'd be ever so curious to see whether or not the shipping process degrades the peptides, enough to compromise their efficacy. I'd be *PUMPED* (pun intended) if you cou

I don't want to release too many prelaunch. However, I could probably get you setup. NA-Selank Amidate is done. We are just waiting a couple days to have them lyophilized in vials, because we have new custom peptide cap

Use caution with Science.Bio's semax spray

Replying to johnnycoconut · /u/MisterYouAreSoDumb since you did nasal sprays with Ceretropic, I wonder what are your thoughts on the whole preservative/preventing microbe growth thing? I would be curious rega

You are going to want an antimicrobial in nasal sprays. Not using one is just asking for a bad time. If microbes grow in the spray, you will be spraying them right where they could potentially get past your blood brain b

Always keep peptide in the fridge, as that is where they are most stable. They are MORE stable as a lyophilized powder in the vial, and become LESS stable once you mix them with water. However, some smaller sequence pept
