Selank/Semax: Buffer with sodium bicarb okay?

Reconstituted to .63% salinity with bac and isotonic bac. Is it safe to add a little sodium bicarb to reduce irritation for intranasal use? Or will this break down the peptide chain?

Peptides are most stable in acidic conditions. When you start to make the solutions more basic, then hydrolysis becomes more likely.
